Encore Juniors (ETCJr!)
Our youth group is back!
After a fantastic first year in 2025, ETCJrs is back and it's not too late to take part! Available for children aged between 5 and 16, our initial 2026 meeting and rehearsals will start soon.
These are the new key dates you will need to be aware of if your child wishes to be involved:
Thursday 12th February at 7.00 pm – initial meeting for parents and children.The title and details for our 2026 show will be announced at this meeting.
Monday 23rd February - Audition workshop, followed by rehearsals every Monday evening from 2nd March through to 29th June (6.00 to 8.30 pm).
Sunday 1st March (9.00 am to 12.30 pm) – auditions for character roles. Parents will need to attend and stay with their children. (Times will be allocated)
All the above will take place at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Castleford.
The performance is scheduled to take place on the evening of Monday 6th July - venue to be confirmed very soon!
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce the new production team:
Director/Musical Director - Amy Spurgeon-Hill. Amy has a BA (Hons) in acting, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, taking part in a small UK tour with the same show. She has been a valued member of ETC for the last 5 years performing in a variety of roles.
Choreographer- Cieara Coleman Cieara has a BTEC in Dance and Drama and has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She also spent 10 years cheerleading for Castleford Tigers. Cieara joined Encore in September, performing in our pantomime Beauty and the Beast, taking on the role of the Prince.
Amy and Cieara will be supported at rehearsals by other members of Encore Theatre Company.
We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday 12th February to the first meeting where we will be sharing further information.
